Cost?
Scouting is one of the most affortable after school programs, with cost being $145 (plus a one time $25 new member registration fee) for the year October - to the following September (2023 costs). Each month is prorated, so the cost depends on what month your child joins.

Discounted costs are available for youth who are low income. Current discounted rates for low income families is $20.00. All you need to do is provide a copy of your child's medicaid card.

Connecticut Rivers Council Annual Membership Fee

Boy Scouts of America National Membership Fee

Troop 102's Boy Scout Fee

Insurance coverage for your child to partipate in scouting programs.

Free weekly meetings that include activities and hand son skills building

Boy Scouts of America members get discounted rates on special scout days at sporting events, Monster Trucks, amusement parks, museums and more for them and their entire family.

Families can rent and utilize Connecticut River Council camps and particpate in family inclusive special events.

Troop 102 particpates in fundraisers that can greatly reduce the price of summer camp, high adventures, and awesome activities.

What does my child need?
Scouts can start right away! You do not need anything immediately.
​
Once your child starts scouting, they would need a full uniform. This includes:

Official Boy Scout Uniform Button Down Top (short or long sleeved)

Official Green Boy Scout Pants or Shorts

Official Boy Scout Belt
